Bedford

In our twenties we decided it would be a great idea to renovate a 1977 Bedford Bus and turn it into a Tiny Home. I learned so much on this project, never having handled more than an analogue tool before – apart from the occasional drill. I now know what a gurney is, am fairly handy with a riveter, have had my fill of stripping paint, know more about treating rust and the structural integrity of buses than I’ve ever wanted to and am a dab hand at fibreglass repair.

Quite honestly this project burned us out but, looking back, I’m proud of it. Our ambition for this bus is not yet complete, but it’s still ours and I still hold on to it, waiting for the right time to bring the project to its completion.
